Chantilly
May 2, 2007

May
2, 2007 -- Our afternoon at Chantilly was sunny
and warm. This lovely city, an hour's train ride north of
Paris, houses not only an
historic race track but also the
Chateau de Chantilly and
le Musée Vivant du Cheval, both of which are marvels and
worth visiting. Unfortunately we didn't have time this
round to do either, because we were at the races!

The track is set in front of the Museum of the Horse...

Gina arranges for a rider for her race this weekend at
Fontainebleau...

Jean-Paul Gallorini, one of France's leading trainers, lives and
works in Maisons-Laffitte |

Nickelle gets ready to hit the track, ridden by Thomas, owned by
the Wildensteins, trained by Jean-Paul...
and came in a respectable third!
|
|

And down the stretch they come...
