Visitors' Gallery
Paris 2001
This is definitely not Texas...

A miserably wet morning in Paris, but we've got to see the Sainte-Chapelle
in the heart of the Conciergerie...

This very old chapel has some of the most beautiful painted arches and
stained glass windows...

In fact, it's an architectural marvel of light and glass...pictures
can't do justice.

The Opera Garnier in Paris is pure opulence with its
chandeliers and muraled ceilings, including a rotunda painted by Chagall...

To the right is a miniature set from Aida, part of the display in the
Opera's Library and Museum...
All good things must come to an end...we head for the
Gare de Lyon...
"à la gare"
But can't leave without a quick bite to eat before heading south for
Avignon and Uzès.
